This week’s interview is with Allen Johnston, The Music Specialist, whom shared some advice on financial planning for artists in last weeks art biz podcast. Whether a visual or musical artist, artists need to educate themselves in the art of finances.
This time we get to hear about Mr Johnston's 4 decades of experience in the Music Industry as a Record Promoter and Artist Representative. He has traveled extensively over the world making deals with artists, musicians, record labels, promoters and venues.
I first met Mr Johnston in 2002 while we were both working for an ATL record label. Out of the dozens of people who worked together in those projects, Mr Johnston and I still work together in new projects every year.
