Dawud Anyabwile, creator and artist of Brotherman Comics
This week we feature the Artist Interview with Dawud Anyabwile and let me warn you, the interview is long but never boring!
We get an inside look at Dawud’s upbringing, his taste of the art life at a young age and the Family that spawned the Brotherman Comics franchise way back in the early ‘90s.
Now with the the release of “The cold hard cases of Duke Denim” book series drawing the attention back to Guy A Sims and Dawud Anyabwile, the family is gearing up to publish another chapter in the saga we have all anticipated for 20 years. Brotherman: Revelation the Graphic Novel.
I dont recall when I first met Dawud, but I knew exactly who he was because I was a fan of his since 1994 when I got my hands on the original run of Brotherman: Dictator of Discipline.
Dawud sat with Art Is King for a two hour long interview where he takes us down the history of the Sims Family, Philly, New Jersey, New York and a bit of his Emmy winning Art Career.
